What Calls
You?- We all know people who have
known from birth almost that they had a calling - to
be a dancer or parent or salesperson. A calling that
had a life of its own, a force that was so strong they
couldn't resist it.
Buddha In
Your Back Pocket- We
all get annoyed at ourselves from time to time; it is
only natural. But for some of us, it can become an unrelenting
bother. There can be no contentment when the Shrew is
on the scene!
Sign Your
Own Permission Slip- Growing up, permission
slips were a big part of school life - essential to
participating in special projects, field trips, or class
trips out of state. For me to take part in any adventure
outside of the classroom, my mother or father had to
sign the slip. Now, as an adult, I can sign my own permission
slip. In fact, I don't even need one! Yet I realize
how often I don't give myself permission to be who I
want to be or do what I want to do.
Sitting In
A Secret Field- Often
in our lives, we lose sight of what makes our lives
joyful. Our perspective gets weighed down by stress
and pressure.
The Power
of Presence- You know you are present
when you feel at ease with yourself. There's no underlying
tension, your mind isn't chattering on in judgment of
you or someone else. You are also present when you ALLOW
a moment to be as it is.
Ode to A Spoon-
I know, you're thinking, "she's really gone
off the deep end this time." But honestly, this
perspective encourages you to notice the beauty surrounding
you and the conveniences you enjoy and be grateful for
them. This in turn brings positive feelings into your
life, what I call Material Contentment.
Take a Stand
for Yourself- Maintaining balance
in your life is a common concern these days, usually
posed as an issue of work/life balance. People who seek
work/life balance often want to work less and have more
time and energy for family or for other interests.
What Do You
Have to Give?- Every year millions
of us set New Year's resolutions to lose weight, exercise
more, manage our money more closely, eat more nutritious
foods etc. etc. In this article, I offer you a fresh
perspective on the idea of resolutions.
My Inner What?
- Part Two- Any thought or belief
that stops you from entertaining possibilities or multiple
perspectives is limiting. These limitations pose internal
barriers to allowing your vision to emerge. At one time
or another, we all make up rules about what we are allowed
to have or desire.
Seven Steps
to Finding A Job You Love- Today is
a great day to begin the journey toward finding a job
you will love. Since you are attempting to create a
brand new future for yourself, I suggest you give this
process some time.
My Inner What?-
One of the keys to selecting and implementing a vision
- knowing what's right for you - is listening closely
to your inner voice. Your inner voice is another name
for your unique, internal wisdom - the part of yourself
that knows what is true and best for you. Although we
are each born with this wisdom intact, it often gets
swallowed in a sea of external voices, opinions and
judgments.
What Are Your
Priorities?-
Take a moment now to evaluate your quality
of life. Do you know what you want from this life before
your time is over?
You
Are Never Trapped!- Sometimes
we feel we are trapped by circumstances or by the previous
choices that we have made that have led us to where
we are now. I am here to tell you that you are never
really trapped.
Love What You
Do!-
Everyone deserves
work-life satisfaction. Afterall, our work takes up
at least one half of our waking hours in life.
Stay Connected
to WHY You Are Doing Things- When
is the last time you asked yourself 'why am I doing
this?' And I don't mean when the answer is
'for a paycheck'!
